zbrush mech


Experimenting with zbrush for hardsurface on an old sketch.  lots of potential...some things are very fast while others are slow.  but mixing between zbrush and a package like modo, 3ds or maya could be very interesting.

Ship2

Made a simple spaceship in the Homeworld style to practice UV mapping.  Painting textures was so much fun, brought me back to my model kit building days.  Baking in the lighting really cuts down render time too! Art Nouveau Final

After 13 hours rendering (there must be something wrong with my settings), and some photoshop tweaking, I'm pretty happy with the final result.
Hmm...looking at it again, lots of the light looks really blown out on the front view hmmmmm

Eggship army compound test

Moved on to screwing around with Mental Ray. Too slow with Vray. Eggship is making a cameo appearance in one of the generic 3ds tutorial scenes.
